Nico Ali Walsh: I'm dying to fight on 29th JanuaryMikey Williams / Top Rank
The grandson of boxing legend Muhammad Ali is looking to bounce back from a lacklustre performance in his last fight.

It's unusual to see a fighter with a record of 3-0 generate huge interest, but that's exactly the current situation for Nico Ali Walsh.

The grandson of boxing legend Muhammad Ali is back in action on January 29th against Luis Melendez and is looking to make a big improvement following a poor performance in his win over Reyes Sanchez last December.

"I'm always tough on myself. So definitely, I would not rate myself highly on that fight. I got the job done, obviously, with a victory but you know, it's just about improving every single fight," Walsh told Barak on The DAZN Boxing Show.

"And there's a lot to improve from that fight. So I'm dying to fight on the 29th."

When it came to discussing how his career is progressing, Walsh was pleased with the trajectory and despite being dissapointed with his points win against Sanchez last month, the 21-year-old middleweight is greatful for the experience gained from that particular fight.

"I'm very happy with where I'm at right now. The way the way I've been moving since that fight specifically has been an amazing I'm on a trajectory right now," Walsh said.

"That's right where I want it to be. It's right where my team wants it to be and, you know, you you can't pay for and you can't train for the kind of fight that I had.

"I'm glad I had that fight and I've learned so much since then."
