Oleksandr Usyk has accepted Tyson Fury’s proposal of a 70-30 split in the Brit’s favour as long as Fury contributes to the war efforts in Usyk’s native Ukraine.

The teams of both fighters have been locked in talks for weeks in the hope of securing a huge undisputed battle on April 29 at Wembley Stadium.

Fury took to social media on Friday to offer Usyk 30% of the fight’s pot and Usyk responded on Twitter by accepting the terms with Fury making a £1m donation.

With both sides seemingly getting close to making a deal, contracts still need to be signed with time running out in the hope of making April’s date a reality.

Fury won his WBC title in 2020 when he became the first man to defeat Deontay Wilder. Usyk became world champion the following year when he caused a mini upset to dethrone Anthony Joshua for the WBO, WBA and IBF crowns.

All four titles are likely to be on the line when the pair eventually step in the ring together.
