Anthony Joshua will be an interested spectator when Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk collide on May 18.
The heavyweight contender has spent the last year rebuilding since losing back-to-back fights with Usyk and his current form has the former two-time world champion in a decent position for a title shot.
In 2021, Usyk travelled to London and produced a stunning performance to defeat Joshua to take his belts.
He repeated the win the following year, and although Joshua would welcome the chance to face him for a third time, Carl Froch has given his verdict on how the trilogy meeting would play out.
“AJ/Usyk, I’ve gotta say Usyk, he’s already beaten him twice,” said Froch when speaking on his YouTube channel.
“I feel like when Usyk steps on the gas and ups the tempo and the workrate, he dominates. It’s not like it’s a close fight, I think Usyk is far superior.”
