Roy Jones Jr has dismissed Tyson Fury’s chances of victory when the British fighter gets back in the ring with Oleksandr Usyk.
The rematch is likely to take place on December 21 this year and Usyk enters the bout a decent favourite following his win over Fury last month.
The contest was close throughout the first eight rounds, but Usyk took over in round nine after forcing his rival to take a count.
With Fury activating a rematch clause that existed for the first fight, the pair are set to do it all again and Jones Jr has had his say on the contest.
“Oleksandr Usyk has found out that he can hurt Tyson Fury. He knew that coming into it, but he’s found out now that he can hurt Fury. The smaller man now knows he can hurt the bigger man,” said Jones Jr when speaking to Betway.
“Usyk is favourite for the rematch and now here is the thing – Tyson Fury is a very smart guy and is really good at making adjustments, but Usyk in my humble opinion comes through him again.”
