Oleksandr Usyk’s promoter has said that the Ukrainian is paying close attention to Tyson Fury’s title defence with Dillian Whyte.
Whyte takes on Fury for the WBC belt this Saturday after waiting the best part of three years to be given the nod for a fight as his mandatory challenger.
Meanwhile, Usyk has left Ukraine following his return to his home country in order to defend against the Russian invasion. He was given permission by the Ukrainian government to leave in order to prepare for a rematch to defend his IBF, WBA and WBO belts in a rematch with Anthony Joshua.
Usyk’s representatives are due to attend the title fight this weekend, explained his promoter, Alexander Krassyuk, while the 35-year-old former undisputed cruiserweight champion will watch remotely.
"Definitely yes [we will be watching the fight]," he told Sky Sports.
"Egis Klimas [Usyk's manager] and myself plan to attend the event and watch it from ringside.
"At Usyk's training camp, he will watch and study the fight on TV."
