Oleksandr Usyk's promoter Alexander Krassyuk believes that Tyson Fury did not properly train for his clash with Francis Ngannou.
Ngannou and the WBC champion fought back in October last year, with Fury winning by a controversial split decision.
The former UFC heavyweight champion returned to the ring a couple of weeks ago, when he was brutally knocked out in two rounds by Anthony Joshua.
Fury, meanwhile, fights on May 18 on DAZN PPV against Usyk to settle the undisputed status at heavyweight.
Speaking to World Boxing News, Krassyuk says he thinks the difference in performances was due to Fury not training as hard as needed.
“For the Ngannou fight, I am sure Fury did not train, but AJ did,” Krassyuk said. “Although you can’t estimate the real level of performance of two boxers with the third guy.
“The only answer to the question of Fury and Joshua is to see a head-to-head fight. Only that can give an answer.”
