The recent 5 vs. 5 show in Saudi Arabia that saw Matchroom fighters take on the best of Queensberry could be a concept that’s here to stay.
The event saw multiple high-profile bouts with Frank Warren coming out on top over Eddie Hearn.
Since the show, plenty of other rivalry matchups have been speculated with Golden Boy taking on Top Rank.
Oscar De La Hoya and Bob Arum both have stacked rosters, and Eric Gomez, the president of Golden Boy, has named one fight he would love to see.
“Obviously Teofimo [Lopez] and Ryan Garcia’s a great fight. I'd love to see that fight,” said Gomez when speaking to Boxing Scene.
“That’s a fight we’ve been talking to Bob Arum [about] for a while, so that’s a great fight. I would love to see something like that.
“There’s just so many different matchups. PBC’s got a lot of great fighters. If we could do something with PBC, that would be great as well.”
