Otto Wallin reveals the one thing he is 'afraid' of before facing Anthony Joshua

Otto Wallin reveals the one thing he is 'afraid' of before facing Anthony JoshuaDAZN
The two heavyweights meet on December 23.

Anthony Joshua and Otto Wallin, two leading heavyweight contenders, are set to go head-to-head on the "Day of Reckoning" card scheduled for December 23 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

For both men, this is a fight which could have major consequences for what lies ahead in 2024.

If Joshua wins, it's likely that he will finally get to face Deontay Wilder in a fight boxing fans have been craving for many years, while a victory for Wallin could see him finally challenge for a world title.

The Swedish heavyweight is no stranger to facing the best in the division after facing Tyson Fury in 2019. Wallin may have lost by unanimous, but he proved a tough challenge for Fury with the former inflicting a deep cut which required several stitches after the fight.

Now Wallin steps into the ring once more with one of Britain's leading heavyweights, and while he is confident that he can produce the upset in Riyadh, there is one element of Joshua's arsenal which he is wary of come the first bell in December.

"I think it's his ability to throw a hard punch. He's a big guy and a big puncher, so you have to be aware of the punches," Wallin told Vegasinsider.com.

"When you're in it with him, you can be in the seat to win the whole fight, but if he lands one punch it could be over. That's something to be mindful of.

"Anthony Joshua knocked out Robert Helenius last time out, but he hasn't been knocking people out like he used to do back in the day. But I'm going to expect the best Anthony Joshua to be out there when we fight."

This fight against Wallin will be Joshua's third of 2023, but for the first time this year he will not have trainer Derrick James in his corner, instead it will be Ben Davison who has previous experience when it comes facing Wallin after helping Fury in his points win over the Swede.
