Paul Bamba names the person that Tommy Fury won't fightDAZN

Paul Bamba isn't sure whether Tommy Fury will ever face Jake Paul as he prepares to take on the younger brother of Tyson Fury this weekend.

As the co-main event to Floyd Mayweather’s exhibition with Deji, the spotlight is set to shine brightly on Fury and if he’s victorious, the focus will switch to a 2023 showdown with Paul.

Fury was scheduled to face the popular YouTuber at the backend of 2021 but after suffering an injury in camp, he was forced to withdraw.

A second date for earlier this year was also pulled when it emerged that Fury was encountering problems trying to enter America. Speculation for a third fight date is ongoing, but Bamba believes that Fury wants no part of Paul regardless of the result of this Sunday's fight.

“I think even if he actually did win the fight, he still wouldn’t fight Jake Paul,” said Bamba when talking with Pro Boxing Fans.

“Tommy likes to handpick his opponents. If you look at his resume and you look at mine, his opponents are 24 wins and over 100 losses.

“I’ve faced better competition. I’ve done an eight-round fight with a vet that has fought for world titles I may not be known but I know how to box and Tommy’s going to find that out Sunday night.”
