Promoter Ben Shalom has expressed an interest in getting the undisputed heavyweight champion, Oleksandr Usyk, to face the winner of the WBO cruiserweight title fight between Chris Billam-Smith and Richard Riakporhe.
The two British rivals will clash on June 15, live on Peacock in the US, at Selhurst Park with the winner set for some huge fights further down the line.
One of those could be against Usyk who has recently expressed his interest in returning to the cruiserweight division where he was once an undisputed champion.
Boxxer's Ben Shalom, who will be promoting the upcoming fight between Billam-Smith and Riakporhe, has now revealed to Sky Sports that he is eager to make a fight between the winner of this particular contest and Usyk in a UK stadium.
"If Oleksandr Usyk decides to come back down to cruiserweight, we could see a huge stadium fight here in the UK against the winner of Chris Billam-Smith and Richard Riakporhe for the WBO world cruiserweight title," Shalom said.
"Usyk dominated the cruiserweight division before moving up to heavyweight to become undisputed champion. What he has achieved in the sport is incredible. He is a generational talent. Arguably the pound-for-pound best in the world.
"Despite his prowess, I know both Chris Billam-Smith and Richard Riakporhe would relish the opportunity to test themselves against him in the ring."
While Usyk may be looking to potentially return to cruiserweight, he will have at least one more outing as a heavyweight with a rematch against Tyson Fury confirmed for December 21.
