Richardson Hitchins is already calling out this super lightweight world champion for a title unification fight

In realizing a dream by becoming the new IBF super lightweight world champion with a dominant win over Liam Paro, Richardson Hitchins didn't waste time calling out a fellow titleholder in the division for a unification fight.

And let's just say, he has some home cooking on his mind.

"I want Teofimo [Lopez] in New York," a victorious Hitchins immediately told DAZN's Chris Mannix in San Juan, Puerto Rico on Saturday night. "Brooklyn, unification, I think that would be one of the biggest fights in 2025, a very lucrative fight, a very big fight.

"And like I said, I don't belong in the ring with nobody else but the top level in boxing."

Hitchins (19-0, 7 KOs) proved he was levels above Paro in dominating his way toward a split-decision victory which really should have been a unanimous decision win as one scorecard for Paro was absurd.

If Hitchins has his way and a unification is made with Lopez, who is the WBO super lightweight world titleholder, it'd mark an all Brooklyn affair as both call the New York City borough home.

Lopez might need some convincing, though.

Over in Phoenix, Arizona, as part of the Emanuel Navarrete-Oscar Valdez 2 main card, Lopez was in attendance and told ESPN+ that his wishlist of opponents as of press time are Jaron 'Boots' Ennis, Gervonta 'Tank' Davis and Terence Crawford.
