Roy Jones has discussed his exhibition bout with Mike Tyson where two legends of the sporting world collided years past their prime.

In 2020, Tyson and Jones, once heavyweight rivals for a brief period, met in the ring in a contest that saw both men have their moments before embracing at the end.

Jones, who shared the ring with a number of high-quality operators during his illustrious career, has finally revealed what it felt like to be in the ring with Tyson.

Once the sport’s most marquee name, Tyson’s power had fight fans on the edge of their seats and Jones has commented on what it feels like to be hit by the heavy-handed New Yorker.

“First time that dude hit me in the chest, it felt like a horse kicked me in the chest – I was like ‘gosh,'” said Jones when speaking to ESNews

“I couldn’t believe he could still hit so hard. What was more fascinating, I couldn’t believe that he was still so hard to hit.”

“You can’t overreach with him, because if you overreach, he’ll get you and as I said, he kicks like a horse.”
