Wladimir Klitschko’s speculated comeback has split the boxing community, but one fighter believes the former world champion. Would have a chance against Tyson Fury.

Roy Jones Jr exited the heavyweight division to return to light-heavyweight before the Klitschko brothers took over, but he still remains qualified to speak about the division where he briefly reigned as world champion.

After his run with the WBA belt, the division would eventually belong to Klitschko as he reigned as ruler for the best part of a decade.

Klitschko’s run as champion was finally ended in 2015 when he was sensationally outpointed by Tyson Fury in a huge shock.

Two years later, Klitschko would travel to Wembley Stadium in London for what was seemingly his final fight, but he was stopped in the contest’s penultimate round.

The brilliant Ukrainian appeared to walk away from boxing that night and he’s now been inactive for almost eight years, but there continues to be stories about him making a return.

Jones Jr, who perhaps fought longer than he should've, has shown support for a potential Klitschko comeback, and has even claimed he could settle the score with Fury.

“Why shouldn’t Klitschko come back? Why not face Fury? It’s not like Fury is a killer puncher. I don’t know if Klitschko can win, but I think he has a chance. It just depends on how much his body has aged. But he has a chance,” said Jones Jr when speaking to Covers

“You have to remember the Klitschko brothers are very strong, very good boxers. They’re intellectual guys who took great care of their bodies, so they should be fine to fight at any age.”
