Leave it to Ryan Garcia for the pointed promotion.
After watching Gervonta "Tank" Davis eviscerate Frank Martin with an eighth-round knockout at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on Saturday night, Garcia climbed up to the ring apron and revealed his intentions to the WBA lightweight world champion via the shirt he was wearing.
After congratulating and embracing Davis, "King Ry" told his rival "we gotta run it back."
He then showed him the front of his shirt which read "Tank's No. 1 fan" followed by the back of the garment which stated "rematch me b—h!"
The gesture drew big laughs from both Davis and Garcia, though there might be truth in jest.
With Saturday night's victory, Davis improved to 30-0 with 28 knockouts.
He was coming off a 14-month layoff after defeating Garcia by a seventh-round knockout, which came on a vicious liver shot, in April 2023.
Garcia delivering a majority decision victory over Devin Haney back in April could set the stage for an eventual Davis-Garcia rematch which could be even more lucrative for the fighters following their first bout.
