Devin Haney has the edge in a potential meeting with fellow lightweight star, Gervonta Davis.
That’s the opinion of Ryan Garcia who returns to action on July 16 when he faces Javier Fortuna, exclusively live on DAZN. The talented Californian is hoping to secure a shot at either Haney or Davis in the near future but first he must take care of Fortuna.
Earlier this month, Haney produced the best performance of his career to become undisputed champion at 135lbs with a wide points win over George Kambosos in Australia.
That followed Davis’ impressive victory against Rolly Romero in May when the Baltimore man provided a stunning sixth round stoppage. Garcia has had his say on a clash between the pair.
“That would be a great fight, honestly,” said Garcia when speaking to The DAZN Boxing Show.
“I would probably give the edge to Devin a little bit, but ‘Tank’ can always knock out with one punch. He could anybody out with one punch. He could even knock me out. I’m excited for all these fights.”
