Ryan Garcia is not interested in the idea of facing Manny Pacquiao.

The Californian star is set to return to the ring later this year following his April loss to Gervonta Davis, but it won’t be Pacquiao in the opposite corner.

Pacquiao has not fought since a 2021 loss to Yordenis Ugas. His incredible profile thanks to his legendary career doesn’t prevent the Filipino from being linked to fights on a consistent basis.

Rumoured to be in the frame to be facing Conor Benn, Pacquiao’s name still draws widespread attention, but Garcia doenst wish to share a ring with him.

After identifying Teofimo Lopez, Rolly Romero, and Isaac Cruz as ideal opponents in a recent post on social media, Garcia has returned to the same platform to shoot down a potential match with Pacquiao.

Oscar De La Hoya, the promoter of Ryan Garcia, had mentioned Pacquiao when discussing the next step for his man, but it appears that fight has no chance of happening.

“This isn’t happening!!,” wrote Garcia on his Twitter account when responding to a tweet which covered De La Hoya on the possibility of Garcia vs. Pacquiao

Garcia added, “I said what I wanted. It’s frustrating. Tired of this.”
