Ryan Garcia has called Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis a ‘coward’ as the pair inch closer to their expected fight.
Both the unbeaten Americans have declared that they expect to meet one another in the ring on April 15, but negotiations continue, which has left the date without official confirmation.
Garcia elected not to take a fight earlier this year as he focuses on the planned contest with Tank, but that did not prevent his proposed opponent from taking another match-up.
Davis beat Hector Luis Garcia in January to record his 26th knockout and 28th career win. Ryan Garcia most recently fought in July 2022 when he stopped Javier Fortuna as he continued his comeback after a brief spell away from the ring.
On Wednesday, Garcia posted a clip of his training on his Instagram account, accusing Tank of ducking him.
A caption read: “Stop running Tank. Stop hiding from me. Stop staying quiet behind Al Haymon. No rematch clause. Winner takes all coward.”
