Sandy Ryan defends her WBO women's welterweight title against Terri Harper on Saturday, and she plans on doing "whatever it takes" to hold on to the belt.

The English fighters will feature on the undercard of Dalton Smith vs. Jose Zepeda, live on DAZN, with two-weight world champion Harper gunning for Ryan's belt as she looks to become a three-division titlist.

Ryan has other plans though, and on Thursday the 30-year-old offered a blunt assessment of what she'll do in order to hold on to her title.

"I believe I can stop her, and I believe deep down she knows that as well," Ryan said at a pre-match press conference.

"If she wants to sit on the back foot, I’ll take it to her. I do what I need to do to win the fight. She’s a great fighter and I respect her, but respectfully, there will be no respect in the ring.

"I will dog walk her if I must to get this win, so whatever it takes believe me I have no doubt in my mind that I am going to be victorious on Saturday."
