Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez might have lost to Felix Trinidad, claims Amanda SerranoDAZN
The featherweight champion wondered which Puerto Rican could challenge the Mexican super middleweight.

Amanda Serrano believes that Felix Trinidad may be the only Puerto Rican who could have beaten Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez.

Alvarez is mooted as perhaps the best pound-for-pound fighter in boxing, with Terence Crawford and Errol Spence Jr. also mentioned in contention for the designation.

However looking back to the past, Serrano told the DAZN Boxing Show that perhaps Trinidad would have been able to pass the test of Canelo.

“Oh, my God,” she began.

“I mean, I'm gonna have to say I thought Trinidad in his prime, maybe says you know, he was just a great fighter and yeah, all the heart in the world.”

The other option she put forward was Miguel Cotto, but even he fell short in her eyes given the defeat he suffered in 2015.

“Maybe I'll have to say I mean, Cotto couldn't do it. But that would have been my first choice but we saw that.”
