Savannah Marshall reveals plans for next boxing fight

Savannah Marshall reveals plans for next boxing fightDAZN
The Briton is joining the PFL franchise first.

Savannah Marshall has named the next fighter she expects to fight in the boxing ring.

Marshall is the WBC, WBA, WBO and IBF super middleweight champion after defeating Franchon Crews-Dezurn in July earlier in the year.

However since that victory she has now joined Claressa Shields and Francis Ngannou in switching to the PFL MMA franchise.

That could see her renew hostilities with Shields after the American beat her for the first time, as a professional, after Marshall won their amateur bout.

Speaking to Sky Sports, Marshall said she plans to split her focus on both combat disciplines.

"I'll be focusing on the boxing when I'm boxing and then when I'm not boxing, I'll be focusing on this full-time," she explained.

"Boxing's my main priority. This is just a little adventure."

Shadasia Green is her WBC mandatory, and the British fighter expects to oblige the challenge at the start of next year.

"I won't be boxing till next year and then I've got mandatories and things like that, so it's all geared around boxing," she said.

"So hopefully I'll be back in the ring early next year and then potentially the summer."
