Raymond Muratalla demonstrated that he was capable of competing at the highest level as he scored an impressive win over Tevin Farmer.
The unbeaten Californian was too good for Farmer as he dominated for large periods before winning on the scorecards.
The win is likely to put Muratalla in a decent position to land a big fight moving forward and with lightweight the home of quality world champions, Muratalla is eager to step up.
Gervonta Davis holds a world title at 135lbs, but Muratalla has expressed a desire to take on Denys Berinchyk and Shakur Stevenson.
"I want the champions next. Berinchyk called my name. I'm calling out his name right now,” said Muratalla when speaking after the fight.
“If I can't get Berinchyk, then I want Shakur."
