The WBO super featherweight champion told The DAZN Boxing Show about his plans if he decides to move up in weight.

WBO super featherweight champion Shakur Stevenson is rapidly on the rise to becoming one of boxing's biggest stars and he could take another step towards that goal if he beats WBC champion Oscar Valdez in a unification clash in Las Vegas at the end of April.

However, while Stevenson has eyes on conquering the 130lb division, there are rumours that a move up to lightweight isn't too far away for the 24-year-old.

Speaking to Ak and Barak on The DAZN Boxing Show, Stevenson remains focused on Valdez, but he does fancy a fight with Vasiliy Lomachenko.

"It depends on what’s out there, I’ve got to get past Valdez first," Stevenson said.

"I would like a Lomachenko fight, I would like to see how Lomachenko would deal in the ring with me, I would like to put that on my résumé, I’ve just beat Jamel, now I’m going to try and beat Valdez.

"We’ve got to stay focused on Valdez."

Stevenson made a huge statement to the super featherweight division when he stopped Jamel Herring to win the WBO belt, but he may have to wait his turn for lightweight glory with negotiations underway for George Kambosos Jr to face Devin Haney in a fight for the undisputed lightweight championship in Australia.
