Devin Haney has already decided to move up in weight and challenge WBC junior welterweight champion Regis Prograis for his next fight.

But Shakur Stevenson has a dare for Haney, the undisputed lightweight world champion, thereafter.

"It ain't really a hope, it's 'I dare him,' like I dare him to come back to 135 [pounds] and try me,” Stevenson told TMZ Sports. “Like I pray that that's what he plans on doing and I can show the world I'm the truth.”

He added for good measure: "Right now, we're looking at [Vasyl] Lomachenko, but after everything unfolds and he fights Regis [Prograis] and I fight Lomachenko and they can build and make that a big fight, I dare him to come down to 135. I dare him!"

As Stevenson mentioned, Haney is currently the WBC lightweight champion in recess, while owning the WBA, WBO and IBF titles of the division. That means the WBC’s mandatory challenger, Stevenson, can face its highest available contender in the rankings in Lomachenko to decide the new WBC champ.

After that, if Stevenson wins, he and Haney can try to line up that big fight that the Newark, New Jersey product covets.
