Shakur Stevenson was impressed with Canelo Alvarez’s win over Jaime Munguia, but he still believes that Terence Crawford will be too good for the Mexican.
Canelo dominated his countryman for the majority of their bout and retained his world titles in the process.
Canelo has been linked to numerous high-profile fights in recent months and one is a huge bout against Crawford.
The Nebraska man will step up to super-welterweight in his next contest against Israil Madrimov, but if he jumps even further to 168lbs, Stevenson thinks he can beat Canelo.
“Hellavu fighter Canelo is,” wrote Stevenson on his X account.
“Still think Bud beats him.”
