Shakur Stevenson has questioned the ‘heart’ of Anthony Joshua as the British heavyweight continues his quest to become heavyweight champion for a third time.
Following a gruelling series with Oleksandr Usyk, a rivalry that saw Joshua lose twice to the superb Ukrainian, ‘AJ’ returned to action in April to defeat Jermaine Franklin on points.
Now linked to a fight with Dillian Whyte in August, Joshua is eager to test himself at championship level in the near future.
Following a summer bout, it looks likely that Joshua could finally enter the ring with Deontay Wilder, but Stevenson, one of the sport’s best fighters, has had his say on the 2012 Olympic champion.
“With him, I think he’s got a heart problem,” said Stevenson when speaking on The Breakfast Club regarding Joshua.
“Usyk is a little guy, and he’s supposed to impose his will, but he didn’t impose his will. I think he has got potential though.”
