Shawn Porter has concerns regarding Sebastian Fundora as he heads into the biggest fight of his life.
The Florida fighter has stepped in to replace Keith Thurman at short notice to challenge Tim Tszyu for the Australian’s super-welterweight world title.
For a long period, Fundora was considered to be one of boxing’s rising stars, but his world was turned upside down in 2023 when he was stopped by Brian Mendoza.
This fight will be his first taste of action since that setback, and Porter has had his say on Fundora as he gets ready to face Tszyu.
“When you talk about Fundora, it’s ‘What have you done for me lately?’ He got knocked out. How is he going to come back from the Brian Mendoza knockout?” said Porter when speaking to Premier Boxing Champions.
“Is he still healthy, is he still fresh? What changes is he going to make? To his credit, he was winning that fight until he got stopped. ‘How do I become more disciplined in certain areas?”
