Sergio Mora believes that Ryan Garcia and Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis are the perfect match-up when they schedule their next fights.
Tank beat Rolly Romero last weekend and while it might be his last fight for Mayweather Promotions, many fans want to see the undefeated 27-year-old American fight a high-profile name next.
Garcia is up against Javier Fortuna next on July 16 live on DAZN in what is his first serious fight following a comeback at a catchweight against Emmanuel Tagoe.
Mora thinks that Davis and Garcia should make an event next to let fans see them fight another prominent and dangerous fighter.
“I say yes, I think the majority of fans are tired of ‘Ryan Garcia continued to bring up the name Tank Davis’ or other big names,” he said on JABS as part of the DAZN Boxing Show.
“We want to see Ryan Garcia with one of these big names.
“But Tank Davis needs these big names too. We didn’t want to see him against Rolly Romero, we didn’t want to see him against Isaac Cruz. We want to see him with the top dogs. Both these guys need each other , it will be one of the biggest fights in boxing.
“It will attract the mainstream, the A-listers. It should be next.”
