Sparring partner reveals why he cut 'disrespectful' Tyson Fury before Oleksandr Usyk clash

Sparring partner reveals why he cut 'disrespectful' Tyson Fury before Oleksandr Usyk clashAlex Pantling/Getty Images
There's a massive fight on Saturday.

Agron Smakici, who cut Tyson Fury in sparring and caused the first fight with Oleksandr Usyk to be delayed, explained why he lashed out at the champion.

Fury and Usyk were due to fight in February, but a cut suffered in training led to the bout being pushed back to May 18.

That is this Saturday, and the clash will be shown live on DAZN. The winner will become the undisputed heavyweight champion, the first of the four-belt era.

Smakici has now told Best Anonymous Casinos what went down to lead to the incident.

He said: “Fury was fighting dirty and he was talking trash, he tried to manipulate my head and push my head down into his lower body, so he got what he deserved.

“It was very disrespectful, I'm not a child and it made me angry, so I fired some rockets and he was cut.

“But I don't think the cut will open up in the fight, Usyk is not a puncher like Wilder or Joshua, so no-way it opens it up."
