Teofimo Lopez admits to Canelo Alvarez talks as he discusses move to Eddy ReynosoDAZN
Could Teofimo Lopez have a new face in his corner?

Is Teofimo Lopez considering adding Eddy Reynoso to his training team? The Brooklyn fighter is yet to reveal his next move after his shock loss to George Kambosos last November. Lopez was dropped in the opening round before losing on the scorecards, and speculation has been rife on what his next move will be.

With lightweight currently one of the most stacked divisions in boxing, options for a comeback bout are plentiful if Lopez wishes to remain at 135lbs. Talk of a move to super-lightweight is also well documented, but whatever decision Lopez makes, will he have a new trainer in his corner, and will that coach be Reynoso?

“To be continued,” said Lopez when asked by ESNEWS if he’s going to be trained by Eddy Reynoso. “He is [a great coach]. I love the connection. I’ve talked to Canelo a few times. “Yeah, we’ll see. My father, he’s always going to be my main coach, my number one, my guy. I’m always going to hold it down for him.”
