Teofimo Lopez is fully aware of what is required to take out the leading fighter in a division as he’s done it twice before.
The brilliant New Yorker is a two-weight world champion with dominant wins over Vasiliy Lomachenko and Josh Taylor, and now he’s looking at welterweight with Terence Crawford his next target.
Since beating Taylor this past summer, Lopez’s name has been linked to a number of opportunities, but his next move is still unconfirmed.
After already proving he’s ready to test himself against the best fighters available, it’s no surprise that Lopez is aiming high as he looks to defeat the sport’s current number one pound-for-pound fighter.
“Crawford, me and Crawford,” said Lopez when speaking to Shawn Porter on The Porter Way podcast.
“If it comes. I love challenges. I love it. How else am I going to learn?”
