Unified welterweight champion Terence Crawford believes a fight between himself and Saul "Canelo" Alvarez would be the biggest fight in boxing.
Since a dominant stoppage win over Errol Spence Jr. to become the undisputed champion at 147lbs, Crawford has been linked with a number of big money fights.
One of those is another move up in weight, this time to face Alvarez who holds all four belts at super middleweight and in a post on his X account, Crawford expressed an interest in making a fight against the Mexican.
"Terence Crawford vs. Canelo Alvarez is the biggest fight in boxing right now. Like it or not it's just facts," Crawford wrote.
While a fight between Crawford and Alvarez would generate plenty of interest, there are some concerns as to whether this could be a step too far for Crawford who would have to move through three weight divisions to make this matchup a reality.
