The pair clashed for the undisputed welterweight title last year.

Unified welterweight champion Terence Crawford has kept the door open for a second meeting with Errol Spence Jr.

Crawford and Spence met in Las Vegas for the undisputed welterweight title in what was one of the biggest fights of 2023.

While many were expecting a close contest, Crawford dominated throughout knocking Spence down in rounds two and seven before finally stopping Spence in the ninth.

A rematch was always a possibility for Crawford, but he will instead look to win a world title in a fourth weight class when he faces WBA light middleweight champion Israil Madrimov on August 3.

Spence also appears to be challenging for glory at 154lbs with a fight against WBC and WBO champion Sebastian Fundora rumoured to take place later this year.

Speaking about the prospect of a Spence rematch with Forbes, Crawford explained what needs to happen if the two were to go head-to-head for a second time.

"The possibility is there,” Crawford said.

“He’s [Spence] fighting [Sebastian] Fundora for his titles [WBO and WBC].

"I’m fighting for a title [Israil Madrimov’s WBA 154lbs title], and there is the possibility.

"He wins his fight, God willing, and I win my fight, God willing, and there’s the possibility.”
