Terence Crawford will be looking to make history on July 29 when he attempts to become an undisputed champion for a second time when he takes on Errol Spence Jr for the undisputed welterweight title.
If Crawford emerges victorious in Las Vegas, he will have a case for why he should be considered one of the greatest to lace up the gloves.
But when it comes to Crawford's opinion on who is the greatest boxer of all time, Crawford had two names which came to mind.
“The GOAT right now, well, it’s Floyd [Mayweather] but all time it’s gotta be Sugar Ray Robinson," Crawford told Showtime.
Crawford may struggle to replicate the successes of Robinson, but he can become the first ever unidsputed four-belt welterweight champion with a win over Spence.
