Terence Crawford trainer explains how Errol Spence has 'messed up' ahead of undisputed showdown

Terence Crawford trainer explains how Errol Spence has 'messed up' ahead of undisputed showdownDAZN

The undisputed welterweight title fight between Errol Spence Jr and Terence Crawford is almost here, and the war of words between the two camps is slowly ramping up.

The pair will finally meet for all the belts on Saturday, July 29 in Las Vegas in a fight which many fans and former fighters are finding difficult to call.

However, Crawford's trainer, Brian 'Bomac' McIntyre, claims that Spence is taking on Crawford at the wrong time and should have faced the multi-weight world champion a number of years ago.

“They should've got him when he first came up from 140,” McIntyre told FightHype

"He’s a legitimate welterweight now."

After conquering the lightweight and super lightweight divisions, Crawford made his 147lbs debut in June 2018 and since then has made six successful defences of the WBO world welterweight champion.

Now he is set to face Spence in what will be his toughest test yet, but one where a win could further cement his place as one of, if not the world's best pound-for-pound fighter.
