Can Crawford win another world title?

Tony Bellew is a huge admirer of WBA light middleweight champion Israil Madrimov, but still thinks the Uzbek fighter will fall short against Terence Crawford.

The Nebraska man will jump up to 154lbs on August 3, live on DAZN, and victory will see him become world champion in a fourth weight division.

Since defeating Errol Spence last summer, Crawford’s name has been linked to numerous fights including a showdown with Canelo Alvarez.

First up for Crawford is Madrimov, and Bellew is expecting him to carry on his impressive form.

“I’d find it hard to back against Madrimov against most opponents, but Crawford is something special,” said Bellew when speaking exclusively to DAZN

“You’re looking at one of the best fighters of his generation and he’s not showing any signs of slowing down.

“Madrimov is an excellent fighter with many great qualities, and you’ve heard Eddie [Hearn] talk about how good he is.

“He might have some good moments in the fight, but Crawford is on another level to most fighters, and I think he’ll win again.”
