Tim Tszyu is facing the most arduous year of his professional career in 2023 but that hasn’t stopped the darling of Australian boxing from aiming high.
The son of legendary fighter, Kostya, Tim is eager to emulate his father’s success and after building his ledger over the past few years, the heavy-handed super-welterweight is ready to announce himself on the world stage.
Originally slated to face Jermell Charlo for undisputed glory last month, Tszyu will instead take on Tony Harrison in March before refocusing on Charlo.
If successful in both fights, Tszyu is looking at facing of the biggest names in the sport as he’s challenged Errol Spence to step up from 147lbs to accept his offer.
“Once I get Harrison out, Charlo, and then, I’ll have Errol Spence. If he wants to come to the big boy division, yeah,” said Tszyu when speaking with Fight Hub.
“I don’t care who is in front of me right now. If they put the Hulk in front of me, I have to do one thing, and that’s to try to take him out. I believe I win the undisputed, and I take over the division.”
