Tim Tszyu names the one fighter he would 'love' to face in the future

The Australian is eager to face some of the sport's biggest names.

WBO light middleweight champion Tim Tszyu is showing no signs of slowing down.

The exciting Australian returns to action on Saturday at the T-Mobile Arena when he makes the first defence of his title against Sebastian Fundora where the vacant WBC belt is also up for grabs.

Fundora presents a unique challenge to Tszyu, not only because of his superior size, but also because of Tsyzu only being given 12 days notice for his clash with the American.

Keith Thurman was originally set to be the fighter in the opposite corner in Las Vegas, but a bicep injury in training camp forced Thurman to pull out of the contest.

With Tszyu confident that he can make a statement this weekend, he is excited for what the future holds and there is one fighter in particular he wants to face, the undisputed super middleweight champion Saul "Canelo" Alvarez.

“I would love to,” Tszyu told Boxing Scene when asked about a potential meeting with the Mexican.

“I have maybe a year-and-a-half left at 154. I want to accomplish all of my goals and have as many big fights as I possibly can, and then we'll move on to 160 and 168.”

Alvarez will be fighting at the same arena as Tszyu on May 4 when he defends all four of his world super middleweight titles against Jaime Munguia.
