Tim Tszyu is delighted that people are picking Keith Thurman to beat him next month, but he’s asked these individuals to put their money where their mouths are.
Tszyu will face a significant test on March 30 as he welcomes Thurman to 154lbs in what promises to be an explosive encounter.
Tszyu’s impressive rise has seen him capture the WBO belt at super-welterweight and he’ll be aiming to boost his profile with a win over one of boxing’s most popular names.
Leonard Ellerbe and Shawn Porter are two figures within the boxing community backing Thurman and Tszyu has spoken about those who doubt him.
“Beautiful. Just be sure to put your money where your mouth is,” said Tszyu when speaking to Fox Sports Australia.
“But I also think it’s great to have all sorts of opinions on this fight. When people have questions, that’s how you build a fight. And it’s because no matter what you achieve, the critics will always be there. So, Leonard Ellerbe, Shawn Porter, others backing Thurman. I like it.”
