Todd Grisham explains how KSI can beat Tommy Fury at MF & DAZN: X Series 10Leigh Dawney/Misfits Boxing
DAZN’s Todd Grisham looks ahead to Saturday’s huge MF & DAZN: X Series main event.

It’s finally here, KSI vs. Tommy Fury in what is set to be the biggest event DAZN and Misfits have ever staged. When it comes to public interest, this is a contest which is up there with previous Anthony Joshua and Saul “Canelo” Alvarez fights that have been shown on this platform.

But after Tommy Fury beat Jake Paul earlier this year, KSI did not seem like the next natural opponent for Fury. This is not me throwing any shade towards KSI, he’s just not as experienced or technically sound when it comes to boxing. I personally thought KSI would fight someone else, instead he is taking a huge step up against a relatively inexperienced professional boxer who is currently cashing the cheques.

In the build-up, Fury has shown plenty of confidence and has even claimed that he can knock out KSI in the first round on Saturday, and if Fury does pursue this goal, it’s the best thing that can happen for KSI.

If Fury instead treats this encounter like a boxing match and takes this contest seriously, I struggle to see how KSI can get the win, but if the fight instead turns into a brawl and results in a lapse of concentration from Fury, then KSI has the ability to knock his rival out cold.

When it comes to KSI’s strategy, trying to outbox Fury is not a viable strategy. Therefore the British entertainment star will go into the ring and aim to bully Fury. The past few fights for KSI have been relatively easy as he has come up against opponents who tend to run away from him when inside the ring. The real moment of truth on Saturday will be whether KSI can withstand any power shots that Fury manages to land as it will be something that KSI has never felt before.

Either way, this is a fight which will bring the entire world to a standstill and I for one cannot wait to call it ringside in Manchester on DAZN and DAZN PPV.
