A UFC rivalry could be reignited later this year, but it will not be inside the Octagon.
Instead it will be in a boxing match with Jorge Masvidal and Nate Diaz reportedly agreeing a deal to go head-to-head in March according to Happy Punch.
"BREAKING: Nate Diaz vs. Jorge Masvidal boxing match confirmed," the post read.
"March in Las Vegas. The UFC has given the green light sources tell Happy Punch."
These reports follow the recent unretirement from Masvidal last week which prompted a response from Jake Paul who appeared to announce the former's fight with Diaz.
"Yeah yeah. Going to box Nate Diaz...whatever," Paul wrote in a now deleted post on X.
"Come see me when Dana gives you permission."
If a second Masvidal and Diaz fight materialises, it will be the first time the pair have gone head-to-head since November 2019 when they fought in the inaugral BMF title fight at UFC 244.
While Masvidal was the victor that night, he has not won since, losing all four fights in the UFC which followed before announcing his first retirement. Diaz meanwhile made his professional boxing debut last year against Jake Paul, but lost on the judges' scorecards.
