Two-weight world champion says her next fight is a 'must-win'Matchroom
Terri Harper hopes to become a three-weight champion this weekend.

Terri Harper is the current WBA and IBO women's super-welterweight world champion and has previously held the unified women's super-featherweight title, and on Saturday she goes for another belt in a new division as she takes on WBO women's welterweight title holder Sandy Ryan.

The fighters will square off on the undercard of Dalton Smith vs. Jose Zepeda, which is available live worldwide on DAZN, and for Harper the bout represents a chance to solidify her position among the best women's fighters in the world.

“This is the fight that I’ve wanted for years," Harper said. "It’s a big domestic fight and I’m just keeping that in the back of my head.

"I’m an experienced championship fighter now and I can only use it to my advantage. Win this fight and it opens up many doors and really sets me up there with the elite."

The 27-year-old doesn't mince words when explaining how important Saturday's fight is to her, as she believes the winner will move on to bigger opportunities.

“This is a must-win fight for us both," she said. "I feel like it’s come at the point in both of our careers where it’ll open up those doors and lead to mega fights.

"So, we’re both hungry and we really both want the win. For me now, I do want the big fights. I feel like they’re going to fetch out the best performances in me."
