Martin Bakole is a fighter who knows what it takes to share a ring with both Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk.
The Congolese heavyweight finished 2023 strong with a destructive win over Carlos Takam and he’ll now switch his attention to another big fight this year as he looks to secure a world title fight.
Bakole’s immediate attention will turn to the undisputed heavyweight title fight next month as the world stops to see who will become the number one fighter in the division.
Bakole has sparred both fighters on multiple occasions and he’s had his say on how he believes the fight will play out once the first bell sounds.
“This is a hard question. Very hard question. 50/50,” said Bakole when speaking to iFL TV.
“On points I can see Usyk, and knockout, it may be a surprise, but [Fury]. Because he has to fix his mistakes, you know, people judge him against Ngannou. Imagine if he stops Usyk, they will say that the Ngannou fight was a little bit of a mistake, he didn’t take it serious.”
“It’s so hard because I know Usyk is world class. Top class movement. But [Fury] I’ll go draw for me.”
