The MMA star posed a number of problems for the WBC world heavyweight champion.

WBC world heavyweight champion Tyson Fury has not completely shutdown the idea of facing Francis Ngannou for a second time.

The pair fought in Saudi Arabia this past weekend and many did not expect Ngannou to be a tough test for one of the world's best boxers.

Ngannou managed to score a knockdown in the third round, but this was not enough to get the victory after Fury was declared the winner on the judges' scorecards.

After impressing on his professional boxing debut, Ngannou is already one of the most sought after names in the heavyweight division, and a second fight with Fury is one of the options available to the former UFC heavyweight champion.

Speaking to TNT Sports, Fury confirmed his interest in a rematch with Ngannou whilst also insisting that he was fully prepared for what the Cameroonian threw at him despite looking below par.

"No, he was what I thought he would be. I thought he would have a puncher’s chance like the rest of them," Fury said.

"Listen, he was a good fighter and we’ll probably have a rematch down the line somewhere. Who’d have thought it?”
