Tyson Fury has claimed that Deontay Wilder would need just three rounds to beat Anthony Joshua should they ever meet.
Wilder and Joshua are both former champions, and both lost title fights in 2021. Joshua lost in a surprise defeat to Oleksandr Usyk in September when he gave up his IBF, WBA and WBO belts. The Bronze Bomber lost his trilogy rematch to WBC champion Fury the following month as he looked to win back the belt after losing it back in February 2020.
Fury has been ordered to fight Dillian Whyte in a mandatory defence that is yet to be confirmed, and Joshua is expected to meet Usyk in a rematch this May.
Wilder, for his part, has yet to agree to another fight, but Fury imagines the 36-year-old fighter could take care of Joshua.
Speaking on Twitter, he said: 'I’d say @BronzeBomber would KO the bum inside 3 rounds.'
