With a fight between Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua still not official, Fury's father has taken to social media in an attempt to get the bout finalised.

The latest instalment in the long-winding Anthony Joshua/Tyson Fury saga is a video from the latter’s father instructing Eddie Hearn to get the fight made. John Fury, a former professional fighter himself, is undoubtedly his son’s biggest supporter and he has released a statement on his Instagram page urging Hearn to get the fight made for this summer.

Speculation has increased in recent weeks regarding a fight between the pair with news breaking two weeks ago that the fighters had each signed agreements.

Issues relating to venue location were still undecided so no formal announcement could be made but the elder Fury has made it clear that his son would relish a June showdown with Joshua.

He said: “We’re not bothered about Anthony Joshua one iota and here’s what you can do. If he wants a fight in June, get it ready for June, Eddie. We’ll take him as a warm-up fight, him. We value Anthony Joshua that much we’ll take him as a warm-up fight in June.”

“So, get you’re a— in gear, get everything that needs doing done and we’ll take him in June. Because Tyson is fighting twice this year, but we’d like AJ to be the first one on the butcher’s block.

"So, get your a— in gear mate, wave your magic wand and let’s get this fight started because nobody’s worried about you or AJ in any way, shape or form. And if you can’t put up, shut up.”
