A heavyweight boxing champion versus the UFC heavyweight champion to determine the baddest man on the planet? The discussion is there as they are eyeing one another.
On Thursday, WBC heavyweight kingpin Tyson Fury took to social media Thursday to see what the interest would be if he battled UFC heavyweight Francis Ngannou in a boxing match with boxing rules. The catch is both guys would wear four-ounce UFC gloves.
Less than an hour later, the two-time heavyweight titlist had a reply. He guaranteed Ngannou two things in his response.
Then about 25 minutes later, Ngannou said after he dispatches Ciryl Gane at UFC 270 on Jan. 22, he'll fight fight Fury in either boxing or mixed martial rules.
Fury is expected to face Dillian Whyte as a purse bid is scheduled for Tuesday if both fight camps don't come to an agreement.
