Tyson Fury gives his verdict on Anthony Joshua joining his former trainer

Tyson Fury gives his verdict on Anthony Joshua joining his former trainerDAZN
Tyson Fury has had his say on one of his rivals.

It’s been widely reported that Anthony Joshua will have Ben Davison in his corner when he faces Otto Wallin on December 23.

The British trainer rose to prominence a number of years ago as he cornered Tyson Fury during his comeback phase before capturing world title honours with both Josh Taylor and Leigh Wood.

After guiding Fury to a win over Wallin in 2019, Davison is fully aware of what it takes to get past the durable Swede.

Davison’s performance in that fight brought criticism from Fury’s father and he was later replaced by SugarHill Steward, but Tyson believes that Joshua has made a good decision in joining up with his former coach.

“That’s a good match-up. It’s a very good move,” said Fury when speaking to Boxing Social

“It’s good for AJ because he’s only local. I think it’s a good move.”
