Two judges plumped for Usyk.

Tyson Fury gave his verdict on the judges' scorecards in his fight with Oleksandr Usyk.

Two judges went with the Ukrainian and one with Fury at the end of the match-up, shown live on DAZN, though many believed that the Briton was fortunate to get to the end of the 12 rounds after he was given the chance to recover by the referee after wobbling all over the place in the ninth.

Nevertheless, over the course of the full tie there were more than a few occasions where Fury looked the better fighter, and the split-decision win for Usyk was indicative of the fact that the decision could have gone in either direction with little complaint.

Perhaps understandably, Fury thought he should have been given the nod.

"I believe I won that fight," Fury said in the ring after the bout’s conclusion.

"I believe he won a few of the rounds, but I won the majority of them, and I believe it was one of those what-can-you-do, one of them... decisions in boxing.

"We both put on a good fight, best we can do.

"But make no mistake, I won that fight, in my opinion, and I'll be back. I've got a rematch clause."
