The WBC champion is in no mood.

Tyson Fury has said that he would ‘roast’ UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou ahead of his move into the boxing ring.

The Cameroonian defeated Stipe Miocic at UFC 260 in March and talked up the chances of a switch of discipline.

After the win, he said: “This is in the future, it’s somewhere, definitely. I’m going to box; I have to box in my career.

“My main dream has always been the noble art and even though I deviated into MMA, which I love, I still have to fulfil something in boxing.”

Speaking on Mike Tyson’s podcast, Nagannou said again that he wished to move into boxing, which drew in the current WBC champion to respond on Twitter.

Fury said: “Mike Tyson, after I smash Anthony Joshua I’ll roast that guy also. Francis Ngannou, easy work.”

In turn, Ngannou posted a photo of Fury’s fight against Otto Wallin 2019, when he suffered a serious cut to his eye, saying: “If this guy did this to you, what do you think I would do?”

Fury is expected to finalise a fight with fellow champion Anthony Joshua, saying he “one million percent” believes a fight is on the horizon.
