Tyson Fury will target an all-British clash with Joe Joyce if he fails to secure a date with Oleksandr Usyk next year.

Fury returns to the ring next month when he faces Derek Chisora for a third time, and if successful, the immediate focus will switch to an undisputed clash against the talented Ukrainian in what could be the biggest fight of 2023.

With the business end of the heavyweight division currently providing many fascinating match ups, it’s still not certain whether Fury and Usyk will meet.

Fury’s name is constantly linked to multiple rivals including Anthony Joshua and Deontay Wilder, but it’s Joyce who he fancies if he can’t land the big one against Usyk.

“Usyk is top of the shopping list provided I get through this one and, if not, a rematch with Chisora for the fourth time,” said Fury when speaking with Dev Sahni for Qeensberry Promotions.

“If Usyk don’t want no smoke in February, let’s do Joyce at Wembley. Joe, get your skates on, get fit, because if the middleweight don’t want no smoke, you’re in. I’m fighting three times next year and you could be one of them.”
